With relatively low home prices, great weather (after all it’s dry heat, right?), plentiful shopping, museums, theatre’s, hiking, fishing, boating, and even some mountains and snow if you drive far enough, it is abundantly clear why old and young, male and female, married and single, all find something to love about this great state year around I have been in the mortgage industry going on 10 years now. I love the work. It's always changing and that in itself keeps it alive and exciting. The knowledge that has come from serving in just about every position in the industry has served me well and taught me intimately about the ins and outs of how mortgages work. It is this vital knowledge and love for the industry that has honed my abilities enabling me to fully serve those who entrust their finances to my care. I believe this is one of the reasons my customers not only refer me to their friends but come back time and time again, because they know they will get the best service out there. Having a family of my own, I understand the value of finances and being able to provide a safe environment and happy home for those that you love. After all, the home is where so many stories begin. For me and my family our home has brought us a sense of peace and happiness. It is a place where we can feel safe and secure and are able to take refuge from the world in. After all, it is in the home that lessons are taught, love is nurtured, and choices and opinions are formed. The very ideas taught in a home will be carried with each child until they one day will become parents of their own and teach the same lessons to their kids. What a vital thing to find a home that is right for you and your family! Because of this, I can’t help but to appreciate the work I do and feel a sense of pride every time I help someone grasp the means to help make their dream come true. Having served almost 10 years in this industry, needless to say, I’ve had experience with just about every scenario out there. Early in my career I invested much time and money to earn an XCO certification from the XINNIX Academy of Excellence. With over 600+ hours tailored to the mortgage industry ranging from extensive underwriting guideline research to diverse market strategies I've gained a lifelong imprint of the core fundamentals behind mortgage finance. However with an ever- changing industry and market the need to stay attuned to the changes are as important as these fundamentals. Later in my career after the market had already shifted (2009) I was recruited by a very large financial institution to become one of their head modification and short sale underwriters on a contractual basis. Recognizing the value of continuing education and experience in this ever changing industry I eagerly took on the new role. Though I knew that I did not want to remain there for long, I saw the need in this market to understand how banks work from the inside. What determined whether they granted a modification, or not or a short sale or not and what their specific requirements were. This experience helped me see how much it was needed for the people to have a knowledgeable advocate behind them, helping them fight for their home, buy one for the first time, or purchase another home. After a time I gained what I wanted to gain and had my share and am happy to be back solely in home finance. Having this knowledge and experience under my belt only adds to the value I’m able to provide.
